Oops … Wrong kaufman

Low-budget movie director, and founder of the independent film production company Troma Entertainment, Lloyd Kaufman got a surprise while accepting the classic Time Machine Award achievement award at Spain’s prestigious Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia last week. The award is a tribute to the director’s extensive career.  As 2,000 attendees watched, the career highlights of another Kaufman – Charlie Kaufman (”Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”) – were played on the big screen. “It was great,” said Lloyd. “For the rest of the week, people thought I was Charlie Kaufman, and I actually got some job offers.”
