Depp To Narrate Doors Documentary

Johnny Depp has signed on to narrate “When You’re Strange,” TomDiCillo’s documentary about The Doors which premiered at Sundance this past month.  The documentary features never-before-seen footage of the band, and covers their entire five year lifespan.  Recently, Depp also narrated “Gonzo: The Life and Work of Hunter S. Thompson,” whom he played in the film “Fear and Loathing In Las Vegas.”  Depp was given the opportunity to see an early cut of “When You’re Strange” and responded very positively.  He is replacing DiCillo as the narrator, who’s voice was deemed “too mellow” for the subject matter.  Read more.
