Japanese films were the big winners at the third annual Asian Film Awards, taking home four of the top five prizes including “Tokyo Sonata,” winning best film.

Best actor: Masahiro Motoki, “Departures”

Best cinematographer: Jola Dylewska, “Tulpan”
Best production designer: Daniel Lee, “Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon”
Best composer: Joe Hisaishi, “Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea”
Best editor: Kim Sun-min, “The Chaser”
Best visual effects: Craig Hayes, “Red Cliff”
Best screenwriter: Kiyoshi Kurosawa, “Tokyo Sonata”
Best newcomer: Yu Shaoqun, “Forever Enthralled”
Asian Film Award for Outstanding Contribution to Asian Cinema: Tsui Hark, Nansun Shi, Film Workshop Co. Ltd.
The Nielsen Box Office Award: Priyanka Chopra
