Investor Carl Icahn Offers to Buy Lions Gate Debt

- Tyler Perry as Madea in ‘Tyler Perry’s Madea Goes to Jail’

Investor Carl Icahn offered to buy as much as $325 million in Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. convertible debt at a discount of at least 25 percent to face value.
Buying the debt, which can be converted to stock at preset prices, would give Icahn more leverage over the independent film studio, whose movie library includes the Tyler Perry “Madea” comedies.
