The independent feature film “Reach For Me” swept the top two awards at the Lake Arrowhead International Film Festival, taking home both the Best Feature Film and Best of the Festival Awards.

The film, which had its World Premiere Gala Selection at the Oldenburg Film Festival, is the story of Alvin (Academy Award Nominee Seymour Cassel) who simply wants some peace and quiet in his final days, but his young hospice roommate Kevin (Johnny Whitworth) has decided to enjoy every minute to its fullest. Kevin’s girlfriend Sarah (Lacey Chabert) is determined to make Kevin’s last moments fun and meaningful, in turn forcing Alvin to reflect on his own life.

Directed by LeVar Burton and written by Michael Bruce Adams, it also stars Johnny Whitworth, Lacey Chabert, Adrienne Barbeau and Academy Award Nominee/multiple Emmy Award Winner Alfre Woodard.
