Clifton Powell and Wood Harris in new independent film, “Jazz In The Diamond District”

Clifton Powell (”Menace II Society”, “Friday After Next”) and Wood Harris (recently seen in “Not Easily Broken” and “Next Day Air”) will be at the Landmark Century Centre Cinema (located at 2828 N. Clark St.) tonight for  Chicago premiere of their new independent film, “Jazz In The Diamond District.”

In the film, a woman joins a go-go band in hopes of becoming a star. Derailed by pressure from her family and the music industry, the young woman is forced to redefine for herself the true meaning of success.
