IFC Films will distribute in the U.S. the David Siegel & Scott McGehee’s New York-set suspense thriller “Uncertainty,” starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt (“500 Days of Summer”) and Lynn Collins (“X-Men Origins”). “Uncertainty,” will debut in U.S. this weekend at the Hamptons International Film Festival.

With the flip of a coin, Scott McGehee and David Siegel’s latest film is set into motion. The filmmaking duo, known for films as disparate as the formally experimental Suture, and Bee Season, explore the very different directions our lives can take with just one decision. Perched atop the Brooklyn Bridge, young lovers Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Lynn Collins’ coin flip sends the film’s narrative down two separate tracks. Olivia Thirlby (Juno) rounds out the young cast of Uncertainty, which is at times alternately thrilling and moving: just like life itself. via
