The Secrets of Jonathan Sperryposter

The faith-based Christian film, “The Secrets of Jonathan Sperry,” from director Rich Christiano, is currently playing in limited release.

The movie stars “The Love Boat” and “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” Gavin MacLeod with, Robert Guillaume of “Benson” fame as his neighbor, and Jansen Panettiere, younger brother of Hayden Panettiere of “Heroes” fame, as a boy who strikes up a relationship with them.

“The Passion of the Christ” Lawsuit Settled

Screenwriter Benedict Fitzgerald has settled his lawsuit against Mel Gibson over “The Passion of the Christ” weeks before the trial was scheduled to start on June 3.

Fitzgerald sued Gibson and several companies for $10 million claiming that the budget for the film was understated. Fitzgerald also claimed that Gibson spent thousands of dollars on expenses and told him that he would not receive any money from the film. Several other claims had been earlier thrown out.

Dean Cain will walk the red carpet tonight at The Fox Theater, Atlanta, Georgia for the premiere of his latest project, the faith-based independent film, “The Way Home.”

Teenager’s Award-winning Film “The Widow’s Might” Gets Theatrical Release

On April 13, 19-year-old director John Moore’s independent film, “The Widow’s Might” will open in 94 U.S. cities across the Midwest and South as part of Carmike Cinemas and Dalton Pictures’ Independent Film Series.

“The Widow’s Might”, is a feature length musical comedy produced by nineteen-year-old John Moore and his best friend David Heustis, and is the film that won the largest cash prize in the country, $101,000, at this year’s San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival.

“The Widow’s Might” is the story of two aspiring filmmakers with the dream of winning a national film festival. When an elderly widow faces losing her home due to escalating property taxes, the filmmakers take action, along with their friends. Through political smears and on-set mishaps, the filmmakers face challenge after challenge.

The feature documentary “The Cross – The Arthur Blessitt Story” opens nationwide March 27, 2009. “The Cross” is the story of one of the most unique individuals to walk the face of the earth. For the past forty years Arthur Blessitt has carried a twelve foot wooden cross through 315 nations, territories and island groups-or in other words every inhabited place in the world.
