Bollywood action hero Akshay Kumar was arrested Monday on suspicion of obscene behavior during a recent fashion show in Mumbai, police said.
A complaint had been lodged against Kumar and his wife, Twinkle Khanna, after she was photographed unbuttoning a pair of jeans that the actor was modeling on the catwalk at the Lakme Fashion Week in March.
“He was arrested under section 294 of Indian Penal Code and was given bail.”
Khanna was arrested and bailed last month.
Kumar, 41, has said he did not mean to cause any offence by his actions and apologized

“Kambakth Ishq” is a Bollywood movie in production starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in pivotal roles along with Aftab Shivdasani and Amrita Arora.
The movie is set in Los Angeles where Akshay Kumar plays Viraj, a successful stuntman who does stunt doubles for Hollywood actors and Kareena Kapoor plays Simrita a model. Viraj is a chauvinist who thinks commitment and marriage are words that should not exist in the dictionary. He gets big bucks for doing what heroes can’t do and lives a lavish life. Simrita is a ruthless feminist who thinks men are losers and have no place in her life. Life experiences have taught her that men are not worth the effort.
The movie explores the relationship of these two characters who no matter how many times unexpectedly bump into each just bicker and fight. Life takes an unexpected turn when they meet each other at a friends wedding to which both are opposed.

This movie will mark the first time major Hollywood stars are appearing in a mainstream Bollywood movie. Sylvestor Stallone and Denise Richards have substantial roles in the movie. Sylvester Stallone plays himself in the movie. Denise Richards plays the Akshay’s love interest apart from Kareena whose character appears near the climax. Other Hollywood actors include “Superman” Brandon Routh, and Carmen Electra. Brandon Routh plays himself in the movie and Carmen Electra appears in the promotional music video for the movie.
