“Farrah’s Story,” the documentary that shows Farrah Fawcett’s battle against cancer, was NBC’s most-watched program in its Friday night time slot in more than a year, excluding the Olympics, according to preliminary ratings released Saturday. The doc drew an estimated 8.9 million viewers, NBC said. Fawcett, 62, was diagnosed in 2006 with anal cancer that has spread to her liver.

In related news, Craig Nevius, one of the producers on the documentary is suing the actress, Ryan O’Neal, and good friend Alana Stewart — claiming that all three physically threatened and “otherwise blocked him from any role in the documentary.”
