“Samson and Delilah"
“Samson and Delilah” winner of this year’s Cannes Film Festival Camera D’or award, won big at Inside Film Awards – the “people’s choice” awards of Australian film. “Samson and Delilah” the Aboriginal teenage love story, took home six awards, including best feature, best actor and best actress.

The Inside Film Awards are the people’s choice awards for Australian films and elebrates and champions Australian film and creative talent. The IF Awards are held in November each year in Queensland. The 2008 event was held today and Men’s Group , a little-seen drama in Australia about a group of troubled men who meet regularly to talk through their problems, has won best feature. Son Of A Lion , won the award for independent spirit for director Benjamin Gilmour and producer Carolyn Johnson. The film with the most nominations, The Black Balloon, won none of its categories but did receive the box office achievement award.

Best Music Video: Just A Boy (directors Angus and Julia Stone, Josh Groom, Andrew Yoole, producers Madeleine Milasas and Jodie Passmore)
Best Production Design: Unfinished Sky (Laurie Faen)
Best Editing: Unfinished Sky (Suresh Ayyar)
