Independent film distribution company Paladin will release The Loss of a Teardrop Diamond starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Evans, Ellen Burstyn, Oscar nominee Ann-Margret, Mamie Gummer (Meryl Streep’s daughter) and Will Patton.
The drama is based on a previously unproduced screenplay by Tennessee Williams, the playwright whose work include “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and “A Streetcar Named Desire.” The screenplay had been unknown until it was discovered in the author’s papers after Williams’ death in 1983. The film is directed by Jodie Markell, in her feature debut.

Lindsay Lohan recently landed a role in the independent movie, “The Other Side,” and told producer Kent Harper she would be “serious” and “committed” to the project, which starts filming in October. So what does a bored Lindsay do in the meantime? The actress, 22, sent out a topless picture of herself with long, blonde extensions strategically covering her chest on Twitter.

Variety is reporting that Lindsay Lohan will star in the indie fantasy comedy “The Other Side” alongside Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews and Alanis Morissette.
Story revolves around a grad student who must spend the summer working at a scientific institute on a remote island. She discovers an eccentric community of characters who are hiding a secret about a tragedy that took place many years before. Not sure which role Lohan will play.
Shooting is set for October at an island off the coast of Massachusetts.
