The sixth Asiana International Short Film Festival kicked off this week and will run until next Monday in Gwanghwamun, downtown Seoul. Over 1,700 films from 70 countries are taking part in this year’s festival, with about 50 films competing for the W40 million (US$1=W1,330) grand prize. The festival also selects in-flight movies for Korea’s second flag carrier. Each year the organizing committee chooses around 10 films to be shown during Asiana’s international flights until June the following year. [via]
