The 2010 CMJ Music Marathon & Film Festival will take place in New York City from October 19 to 23. 5 days and nights of over 1,200 artists and 120,000 fans in more than 75 of the city’s greatest nightclubs and theaters. Headquarters will once again be located at New York University’s Greenwich Village campus.

CMJ Film Festival will host the New York City premiere of The Messenger as its closing night film on Friday, October 23 @ 7:30pm at Clearview Cinemas Chelsea. The Messenger stars Ben Foster and Woody Harrelson as U.S. Army officers returning from a tour in Iraq. This moving, surprisingly humorous portrait of grief, survival and friendship won a top award at the 2009 Berlin Film Festival and also features unforgettable performances by Samantha Morton, Steve Buscemi and Jenna Malone.
