British film producer and film journalist Donald Ranvaud, behind such foreign film hits as Walter Salles Central Station and Fernando Meirelles’ City of God, died suddenly on Sunday night of a heart attack. He was 62.

Ranvaud was on the jury of the 2016 Montreal World Film Festival. He was found dead of a heart attack in his hotel room in Montreal on the last day of the festival.

Organizers of the WFF held a minute of silence at the festival’s closing ceremony on Monday night.
