Academy Award-nominated director Deepa Mehta and producer David Hamilton will executive produce Dusty Mancinelli’s and Harry Cherniak’s of Inflo Films first feature LITTLE KINGS. Inflo Films made the announcement today from the Whistler Film Festival (WFF).

The film was one of the feature titles selected to participate in the Whistler Film Festival’s (WFF) 2016 Feature Projects and Praxis Screenwriters Lab, which are part of WFF’s 12 talent programs that are designed to provide creative and business immersion experiences for up to 75 Canadian artists.

LITTLE KINGS was written and will be directed by Dusty Mancinelli (writer/director of WINTER HYMNS, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Slamdance Film Festival), who will also produce alongside Inflo partner Harry Cherniak and MARY GOES ROUND (a Telefilm Microbudget Program film) producer /CFC Alumnus Matt Code. Mancinelli and Cherniak are in Whistler for the B.C. Premiere of their BravoFACT-funded sci-fi comedy, THE BIG CRUNCH. Mehta and Hamilton are in Whistler for the Western Canadian Premiere of their latest feature, the fearless and provocative ANATOMY OF VIOLENCE, following which Mehta will be honored with WFF’s Trailblazer Award.

LITTLE KINGS is a drama-filled thriller about brotherhood and redemption. When a violent robber takes refuge in a small mining town, a troubled young boy and his volatile older brother venture to track him down and claim the reward money. The film explores the question of whether damaged relationships can be repaired, and if so, at what cost?
