Epic Pictures debuted the official trailer for Cop Secret, the Icelandic action/comedy film starring Audunn Blöndal (The Garden), Steinunn Ólína Thorsteinsdóttir (The Garden), Vivian Ólafsdóttir (Echo), Sverrir Thór Sverrisson (A White, White Day) and Björn Hlynur Haraldsson.

Cop Secret was an official selection of Locarno Film Festival, Fantastic Fest, BFI London Film Festival, Busan Film Festival, Lübeck Nordic Film Days where the film won the prize for Best Feature Film Debut.

The film is the feature debut from writer-director Hannes Thor Haldorsson (Iceland’s national soccer team goalkeeper) and will be available in select theaters on July 8 and On Demand on July 12.

Cop Secret is an Icelandic action-packed, buddy-cop parody that follows Iceland’s toughest cop (Auðunn Blöndal) who clashes with his new partner (Egill Einarsson) when they team up to solve a series of violent bank heists.

Iceland’s toughest cop will stop at nothing to solve a string of violent bank robberies. But when he is forced to take on a new partner, the pressures of solving the case prove too much for the tough-as-nails renegade.
