Lionsgate shared the official trailer for Ordinary Angels, the drama film based on an inspiring true story starring Hilary Swank and Alan Ritchson.
In the film, Hank stars as a hairdresser who rallies a community to help a widowed father save the life of his critically ill young daughter during a major snowstorm in the 1994 North American cold wave.
Also starring in the film are Nancy Travis, Tamala Jones, Drew Powell, Amy Acker, Skywalker Hughes and Emily Mitchell.
Directed by Jon Gunn, Ordinary Angels will be released in theaters on October 13, 2023.
Based on a remarkable true story, the film centers on Sharon (Hilary Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed (Alan Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it. What unfolds is the inspiring tale of faith, everyday miracles, and ordinary angels.
“I was drawn to this beautiful true story because it’s such a powerful reminder that angels reside everywhere among us,” Swank says in a statement to TODAY.com. “And that faith, hope, grit and positivity are all powerful fuel for miracles.”
