The fourth season of the award-winning POV Shorts series debuts on September 6, 2021 on PBS and streaming online at POV.org with 13 new short nonfiction films packed into seven unique episodes. POV Shorts was named the ‘Best Short Form Series’ at the 36th annual IDA Documentary Awards.
With Anderson Cooper (Anderson Cooper 360⁰) introducing, CNN will air an anthology of four documentary short films during two Saturdays in July and August.

Oscar®-nominated filmmaker Erick Oh’s (Opera) animated short film Namoo (나무), is inspired by the passing of Erick’s grandfather, Namoo – which translates to “tree” in Korean – marks Oh’s most personal work to date. The theatrical version of Namoo will premiere at Tribeca Film Festival.
Kino Lorber and Dedza Films’ first collaborative release “Who will start another fire?” is an international short film omnibus showcasing the works of nine emerging filmmakers from underrepresented communities around the world.

Disney+ released the trailers for all six of Disney’s “LAUNCHPAD” Season One live-action short films from a new generation of dynamic storytellers. The goal of Disney’s “LAUNCHPAD” is to diversify the types of stories that are being told and to give access to those who have historically not had it. Inspired by life’s journey, these first six short films for Disney+ are based on the theme, “Discover.” All six short films will be available to stream on Disney+ beginning May 28.
The animated short film, The Tattooed Torah, based on the beloved children’s book of the same name written by Marvell Ginsburg will be released by Menemsha Films. Directed by Marc Bennett and narrated by Ed Asner, the animated film is based on the renowned children’s book that has been educating young children about the Holocaust for generations.
