SYNOPSIS: Cody and his mother Kathy (Hong Chau) are unexpectedly spending their summer away from home, cleaning out the house of his recently-deceased and reclusive aunt. Cody, a sensitive and sweet soul who doesn’t always fit in, is unfazed by this turn of events, while his mother struggles to make sense of what’s been left behind. Lonely in this strange new place, Cody strikes up an unexpected friendship with the widowed, bingo-playing veteran next door (a superb Brian Dennehy), and the film’s many low-key charms unfold from there.
