SYNOPSIS: The radiant Israeli actress Hadas Yaron burst on the indie scene in 2012 with her radiant performance in Rama Burshtein’s Fill the Void. She’s equally good here in the story of an unfulfilled Orthodox woman who, in spite of herself, begins to feel stirrings for a man she meets in a coffee shop. The restraint and chastity of their courtship recalls the great In the Mood for Love, but the way the story works out is all its own.
The 27th Palm Springs International Film Festival (PSIFF), scheduled January 1-11, 2016, announced the films selected to compete for the FIPRESCI Award in the Awards Buzz section.
