Québécois Sophie Deraspe’s ANTIGONE swept the awards at the 2019 Whistler Film Festival, taking home four of the five top awards including Best Canadian Feature Film.
Returning for its 19th edition, the Whistler Film Festival will showcase 86 fresh films, and open with the Canadian Premiere of LOST TRANSMISSIONS, starring Simon Pegg and Juno Temple.
The 20th Flickers’ Vortex Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror Film Festival wrapped with the annual award ceremony. The Grand Prize awards for feature films went to Volition and Star Light.
With just 11 weeks to go until its 19th edition, the Whistler Film Festival revealed the first 12 Canadian films including nine World Premieres and three Canadian Premieres.
