Sony Pictures Classics will release Juho Kuosmanen’s Compartment No.6., winner of the Grand Prix at this year’s 2021 Cannes Film Festival. Inspired by the novel Compartment No.6 by Rosa Liksom, the film stars Seidi Haarla (Force of Habit, Love & Order) and Yuriy Borisov (Petrov’s Flu).

In the film, a young Finnish woman escapes an enigmatic love affair in Moscow by boarding a train to the Arctic port of Murmansk. Forced to share the long ride and a tiny sleeping car with a larger-than-life Russian miner, the unexpected encounter leads the occupants of Compartment No. 6 to face major truths about human connection.
