Louis Anderson comedian, author, game show host and actor known for Coming to America has died. He was 68.
Anderson died Friday morning in Las Vegas, where he had entered hospital this week for treatment of diffuse large B cell lymphoma, a form of cancer, his longtime publicist Glenn Schwartz told Deadline.
In 1988, Anderson starred as Maurice in the film Coming to America starring Eddie Murphy, a role which he reprised in the 2021 sequel, Coming 2 America. Anderson also starred in the 1988 camp comedy The Wrong Guys, based on a story by John Hughes.
