My Dead Dad directed by Fabio Frey

HBO revealed the official trailer for Fabio Frey’s feature directorial debut, My Dead Dad, the indie drama film starring Pedro Correa as young burnout Lucas who discovers his estranged father has passed away, leaving him the responsibility of managing an apartment complex in Los Angeles.

Also starring in the film are Raymond Cruz, Courtney Dietz, Simon Rex, Booboo Stewart, Steven Bauer, Chris Pontius, Nicholas Duvernay, and Nate Jackson.

My Dead Dad premiered at the 2021 Woodstock Film Festival, and went on to play at multiple festivals, winning the Jury Award for Best Feature Film at Jacksonville Film Festival and Best Feature Award for Drama at the Santa Clarita International Film Festival. The film debuts on HBO Max on June 1st, 2022.

A young burnout discovers his estranged father is dead, leaving him the responsibility of managing an apartment complex. With hopes of cutting ties, he’s forced to grow up, learning about the dad he never knew through the eclectic tenants.
