Ahead of the world premiere at Venice Film Festival, here is the first trailer for Jafar Panahi’s Iranian political thriller No Bears. Starring in the film are Panahi, Naser Hashemi, Vahid Mobaseri, Bakhtiyar Panjei, Mina Kavani and Reza Heydari.
Following Venice, the film will also screen at Toronto International Film Festival and New York Film Festival. Unfortunately, Panahi will not be in attendance as he was arrested and imprisoned in July by the Iranian government.
No Bears portrays two parallel love stories. In both, the lovers are troubled by hidden, inevitable obstacles, the force of superstition, and the mechanics of power.
