Bleecker Street debuted the official trailer for Mafia Mamma, the action comedy starring Toni Collette as an American woman who unexpectedly inherits her grandfather’s mafia empire in Italy.

Also starring in the film are Monica Bellucci, Sophia Nomvete, Giulio Corso, Francesco Mastroianni, Alfonso Perugini, Eduardo Scarpetta, Tim Daish, and Tommy Rodger.

Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, Mafia Mamma opens in theaters on April 14, 2023.

While seeing to her long estranged (and now deceased) grandfather’s affairs in Italy, Collette, a mild mannered suburban mom, unexpectedly inherits his mafia empire and finds herself stuck in the middle of a deadly mob war. Guided by the firm’s trusted consigliere (Monica Bellucci), she hilariously defies everyone’s expectations, including her own, as the new head of the family business.
