The European Film Academy has added 16 more films to the Feature Film Selection for the European Film Awards. New films include Conclave, Hard Truths, Harvest, The Room Next Door and Queer.
Along with the previously announced 29 films, the shortlist now includes 45 outstanding European feature films.
The nominations for the European Film Awards will be announced on November 5.
The European Film Awards celebrate the best achievements in European cinema. This year’s awards ceremony will be held on December 7 in Lucerne. With representation from 28 European countries, both EU and non-EU, the selection shows the diversity of European cinema.

In the coming weeks, the 5,000 members of the European film academy will watch the selected films and vote on the nominations in the categories ‘European film’, ‘European director’, ‘European actress’, European actor’, ‘European screenwriter’ and ‘European documentary’.
The nominations will be made public on November 5 2024 and the members of the European Film Academy will then vote for the winner who will be announced on December 7 2024.
