A gripping and emotive tale, Bridget Smith’s Sno Babies will be available to view on demand starting September 29th.
Sno Babies depicts the grim realities of addiction and its effects on a middle-class suburban community. Kristen and Hannah are best friends–smart, likable and college-bound– and also addicted to heroin. The pair of seemingly unlikely addicts spiral down a path of destruction, hiding their secret from well-meaning but busy parents behind pink bedrooms and school uniforms, propelling their tight-knit community from disbelief to disaster to, ultimately, hope.
The story of Sno Babies was inspired by actual events, and in honor of the thousands of families who are struggling with substance use disorders, Better Noise Films is partnering with the Global Recovery Initiatives (GRI) to deploy 1,000 AmeriCorps recovery workers into local communities.

About the filmmakers
Bridget Smith was born and raised in South Philadelphia, Bridget is a Director/Film Editor who got her start as a stand-up comic. She did the comedy circuit for years before landing a featured spot in Comedy Central’s long-running series ‘Premium Blend’. While living in NYC, Bridget directed several theater productions before directing her first feature film 7th Secret. She has since gone on to direct and edit several other features, including Lucky Jack, Right Before Your Eyes, The Retaliators and the soon to be released Sno Babies.
Mike Walsh was one of the first winners of Fade In magazine’s prestigious national screenplay competition for his original feature-length thriller, Driven. He has since optioned several screenplays including: Shattered Dove, The Reading Game, Summer’s End, and Trust Dance. Mike has gone on to write and produce several feature films, including Right Before Your Eyes, 7th Secret, The Retaliators and the soon to be released Sno Babies.
