Searchlight Pictures released the official teaser trailer for Nightmare Alley, the thriller film directed by Guillermo del Toro, based on the 1946 novel of the same name William Lindsay Gresham.

The film stars Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Toni Collette, Willem Dafoe, Richard Jenkins, Rooney Mara, Ron Perlman, and David Strathairn.

Nightmare Alley opens in theaters on December 17.

In Nightmare Alley, an ambitious carny (Bradley Cooper) with a talent for manipulating people with a few well-chosen words hooks up with a female psychiatrist (Cate Blanchett) who is even more dangerous than he is.
