Wolfe Video shared the official trailer for The Sixth Reel, the indie comedy film starring Charles Busch (Psycho Beach Party, Die Mommie Die), Julie Halston (And Just Like That…), Patrick Page (The Gilded Age), Tim Daly (Madam Secretary) and Margaret Cho (Fire Island).

In the film a down-on-his-luck movie collector discovers a legendary lost film and becomes entangled in an outrageous adventure to deliver it to the right hands before it is lost forever.

Release Date

Co-written and co-directed by drag legend Charles Busch and director Carl Andress, The Sixth Reel opens in theaters in NYC at LOOK Dine-In Cinema W57th on Friday, September 22, 2023, and will be followed by a limited rollout and be available on major digital platforms to buy and rent in October 2023.

Synopsis

When the death of a close friend unearths the long-thought lost final reel of a classic undiscovered film, Jimmy (Charles Busch) a down-on-his-luck movie collector and his social circle of obsessive collectors each concoct wild, underhanded schemes to cash in on a big sale of the film.
