TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival
NAME OF FESTIVAL: TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival
WHERE: Toronto, Ontario, Canada
ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Built in partnership with Instagram, the TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival was born to bring curated cinematic storytelling to the digital world, and create our lowest-barrier to entry (no submission fee; all you need is access to a phone and a story) platform for emerging storytellers to crossover to the world of traditional filmmaking.
Actor, director, and writer James Franco (Every Thing Will Be Fine, 127 Hours) (@jamesfrancotv); actor Priyanka Chopra (Quantico, Baywatch, Bajirao Mastani) (@priyankachopra); and cinematographer Ben Richardson (The Fault in Our Stars, Beasts of the Southern Wild) (@benrichardson) have been added to the inaugural 2016 TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival jury.
TIFF® in collaboration with Instagram announced the launch of TIFFxInstagram Shorts Festival, a new digital shorts competition, which invites aspiring and established filmmakers from around the globe to upload their original 60-second-or-less short using Instagram video.
