SYNOPSIS: A doctor, a mother and a businessman in the United Kingdom make treacherous journeys into Syria to deliver aid, equipment and medical personnel under seemingly impossible circumstances. This is no large, faceless NGO, but a grass roots ‘family’ driven by a desire to do good in the face of incredible danger. GETTING THROUGH TO SYRIA follows them from London to Turkey to being smuggled across the border in to Syria, from sprawling refugee camps to primitive and targeted hospitals. These selfless individuals bring the landscape of Syria’s devastation and destruction into our consciousness in a very personal and accessible way.
