DIRECTOR(S): Elza Kephart

STARRING: Stephanie Chapman-Baker, Kevin Jake Walker, Julie Johnson, Devin Estes

GENRE: Drama Film

SYNOPSIS: Lilith, Adam’s first mate, escapes the Garden of Eden and learns to make her way in the outside world. In her second feature film after her zombie love story Graveyard Alive, visionary filmmaker Elza Kephart continues to make wholly original and subversive representations of established genres, this time recreating the myth of an obscure Biblical character who became a symbol of the feminist movement (and the namesake for Sarah MacLachlan’s travelling women’s music festival) and turning it into a tragic love story and “coming-of-awareness” film. Shot on location in Quebec’s remote North Shore, Kephart creates a believable ancient Biblical world through natural lighting and camerawork that capture the ethereal beauty of the landscapes unencumbered by modern-day special effects.
