IFC Films debuted the official trailer for Nitram starring Caleb Landry Jones as a disturbed young man called Nitram and the events leading to his involvement in the 1996 Port Arthur massacre in Tasmania, Australia.

The film had its World Premiere at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival where Caleb Landry Jones won the Best Actor award. The film also won eight awards at the 2021 AACTA Awards, including Best Film, Best Direction, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

Also starring in the film are Essie Davis, Anthony LaPaglia, Judy Davis, and Sean Keenan.

Directed by Justin Kurzel, Nitram will be released in theaters and VOD on March 30th, 2022.

Based on a true story, Nitram is an isolated young man living with his parents in Australia until he meets an eccentric heiress. What follows is a gripping portrait of nihilism and violence.
