Utopia released the official trailer for Facing Nolan, the documentary on the life and career of Major League Baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan.

Directed by Bradley Jackson, the documentary had its world premiere at SXSW film festival and opens in theaters for one night only on May 24, along with a special screening on May 1st at the Texas Rangers Stadium. May 1 is also the 31st anniversary of Ryan’s seventh and final no-hitter against the Toronto Blue Jays at Arlington Stadium which he pitched at the age of 44.

Told from the point of view of the hitters who faced him and the teammates who revered him, Facing Nolan is the definitive documentary of a Texas legend. In the world of Major League Baseball no one has created a mythology like Nolan Ryan.

Directed by Bradley Jackson the film features new interviews with Nolan Ryan, President George W. Bush, Craig Biggio, Steve Buechele, George Brett, Rod Carew, Roger Clemens, Tom Grieve, Tom House, Randy Johnson, Pete Rose, Ivan Rodriguez, Bobby Valentine, Dave Winfield, Bobby Witt and many others.

The one night only special theatrical event will also include an exclusive post-film Q&A with Nolan recorded at the film’s SXSW World Premiere.
