The New York Film Critics Online (NYFCO) announced the winners representing the best in film for 2022, honoring The Banshees Of Inisherin as the Best Picture of the year. The film also won the honors of Best Actor for Colin Farrell, Best Supporting Actor for Brendan Gleeson and Best Screenplay for Martin McDonagh who also tied with The Daniels of Everything Everywhere All At Once for Best Director.
In addition to Best Director, Everything Everywhere All At Once also won Best Actress for Michelle Yeoh.
Other top film honors went to Marcel The Shell With Shoes On for Best Animated Feature; All The Beauty And The Bloodshed won for Best Documentary Feature; EO won for Best Foreign Language; and Best Debut Director went to Charlotte Wells for Aftersun.
