Drive My Car won Best Film at the 16th Asian Film Awards held in Hong Kong on March 12. The film also won Best Editing, and Best Original Music.

Other top awards included Best Director to Kore-eda Hirokazu for Broker, Best Actor to Tony Leung Chiu Wai for Where the Wind Blows, Best Actress to Tang Wei for Decision to Leave, Best Supporting Actress to Kim So-jin for Emergency Declaration and Best New Director to Jigme Trinley for One and Four.
