New movies headed to on-demand include Hi-Fear, the final film in the cult hit ‘Hi-‘ trilogy; Jurassic Shark 3 : Seavenge, the threequel in the long running, cult hit shark series; Heroes of the Golden Masks starring the late Christopher Plummer; romantic comedy Days Of Daisy; horror-mystery-thriller Country of Hotels; the Muslim drama, Unveiled; and the art-themed documentary Origami In The Garden.

HI-FEAR

From cult directors Brad Sykes (Plaguers, Scream Queen), Todd Sheets (Goblin, Bonehill Road), Anthony Catanese (Sodomaniac, Girls Just Wanna Have Blood) and Tim Ritter (Truth or Dare, Killing Spree) comes the highly-anticipated final film in the cult hit ‘Hi-‘ trilogy, preceded by Hi-8 (2013) and Hi-Death (2018), Hi-Fear – on Digital June 13 and DVD July 11 from Wild Eye Releasing.

An ambitious young illustrator is forced to create four of the most terrifying stories imaginable for a new comic book based on basic human fears. But with each story she creates, the stakes become higher and more deadly as she delves deeper into the nature of evil itself.

JURASSIC SHARK 3 : SEAVENGE

Directed by legendary cult filmmaker Mark Polonia (Sharkenstein, Sharkula, Jurassic Shark 2: Aquapocalypse) and written by B-movie legend Bret McCormick, the newest entry in the long running, cult hit shark series Jurassic Shark 3 : Seavenge hits digital and DVD on June 13

The unstoppable Megalodon is back, stalking the inhabitants of a stranded boat off the coast of a small fishing community. A reporter, her cameraman and some thieves must work together to finally put an end to this legendary man-eater, but that won’t be easy as this aquatic serial killer has emerged to exact it’s own brand of revenge on them.

Patton Oswalt (“Veronica Mars”, The Secret Life of Pets 2), Ron Perlman ( Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Hellboy) and, in his final performance, the late Christopher Plummer star in Heroes of the Golden Masks, coming to this from Gravitas Ventures.

Heroes of the Golden Masks also features the voices of Natasha Liu Bordizzo (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon : Sword of Destiny), Byron Mann (Skyscraper), Osric Chau (2012), Kiefer O’Reilly (“The Mighty Ducks : Game Changers”), and director Sean O’Reilly.

Inspired by the ancient bronze masks of Sanxingdui discovered on the archaeological site of Guanghan in the Sichuan Province in the late ‘80s, director Sean O’Reilly’s adventure-packed animated treat centers on Charlie, a wise-cracking, homeless, American orphan who is magically transported to the ancient Chinese kingdom of Sanxingdui, where a colorful team of superheroes need his help to defend the city from a brutal conqueror. Charlie joins the heroes, and secretly schemes to steal the priceless golden masks that grant them their powers.

Heroes of the Golden Masks will premiere on digital platforms including iTunes and Amazon June 9 from Gravitas Ventures.

DAYS OF DAISY

Jency Griffin Hogan (Dallas Buyers Club, 4:Go, Claws), Bryan Langlitz (The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Orange is the New Black), Maddie Nichols (Echoes, Emergency, Vendetta) star in the romantic comedy Days Of Daisy.

Daisy Bea (Jency Griffin Hogan) spends her days as a high school librarian, stuck in a rut in both her personal and professional life. As her 40th birthday draws near, she starts to feel pressured to settle down and start a family. When the art teacher at Daisy’s school abruptly quits mid-term, Daisy takes it upon herself to give West High School students the art program that they deserve. Through her adopted profession, she begins to question the true meaning of parenthood. Daisy, however, doesn’t fancy herself much of an artist. When she meets the local photographer Jack Palmer (Bryan Langlitz) at an exhibition, she ropes him into her plan and begins to see a new future for herself.

Written and directed by Alexander Jeffery, Days Of Daisy will be released on demand on May 26th.

COUNTRY OF HOTELS

A new horror-mystery-thriller from Terror Films and director Julio Maria Martino, Country of Hotels tells the stories of the desperate souls who pass through the doors of 508, a room on the fifth floor of an anonymous, decaying hotel.

We are taken on a surreal and blackly comic journey down its lonely corridors and behind its outdated furnishings and stained surfaces. The story plunges us into the ever-turning carousel of haunted lives who check in and out of this sinister establishment.

Siobhán Hewlett, Matthew Leitch, Adam Leese, Michael Laurence, and Charles Pike star in Country of Hotels, written by David Hauptschein, available on digital platforms on May 26.

 UNVEILED

Unveiled tells the story of a Muslim woman named Farash who is forced to wear a mandatory hijab in public while secretly unveiling her true self while taking an acting class. When her religious husband, Saeed, finds out that Farash is taking acting classes, she is forced to choose between her faith and passion. Her freedom of choice comes at a costly price as their daughter, Maryam, is torn apart between the two.

Written, directed, and produced by Mostafa Keshvari, the featured cast of Unveiled includes Sara Omran (‘Farash’), Hani Mefti (‘Saeed’), Aya Ramadan (‘Maryam’) and Melanie Chevier (‘Elise’).

Unveiled will be available to rent/own on DVD and digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms starting on June 13, 2023, through Freestyle Digital Media.

ORIGAMI IN THE GARDEN

Written, directed, produced, and edited by Barbara Bentree, the art-themed documentary Origami In The Garden will be available to rent/own on DVD and digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms starting on June 6, 2023, through Freestyle Digital Media.

“I want to have a conversation with people now and hundreds of years into the future!”, said artist Kevin Box, who has always known exactly what he intends to do with his life.

Origami In The Garden is the origin story for Kevin and his wife Jennifer as they super-size tiny paper origami foldings into metal sculptures as large as 18 feet high. Kevin and Jennifer’s work explores powerful messages of peace… all generated within their BoxStudio compound in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Origami In The Garden is also a love story and a journey of spiritual transformation that evolves through their relationship with an extraordinary metal foundry in Thailand. Kevin also collaborates with Master origami artists such as Robert J. Lang, Beth Johnson, and Michael LaFosse. Over 3 million people have visited their traveling exhibition titled “Origami in the Garden” and the word about BoxStudio is spreading fast. It’s truly amazing what these artists can do starting with a simple piece of paper!
