It is estimated to be produced at a budget of US$75 million, making it one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.

Directed by Nag Ashwin(Mahanati, Yevade Subramanyam), the film stars some of India’s biggest actors, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani.

“We are thrilled to present Project K’s debut at San Diego Comic-Con,” said Nag Ashwin. “India’s storytelling tradition has ancient roots, with its epics serving as the origins for many civilizations worldwide. A world as big as this needs a platform as big to introduce it to the people. Comic-Con felt like the perfect place, where the honesty and enthusiasm needed for Project K will be found.”

Nag Ashwin Reddy is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu cinema. He made his directorial debut in 2015 with the coming-of-age philosophical drama film Yevade Subramanyam. Not much is know about the storyline, but speaking about the movie, Nag Ashwin once said, “I’m very excited to see Deepika play this character. It is something no mainstream lead has done before and will be quite a surprise for everyone. The pairing of Deepika and Prabhas will be one of the main highlights of the film and the story between them, I believe will be something audiences will carry in their hearts for years to come.”
