Colman Domingo in Rustin and ‘The Color Purple’

Colman Domingo leads the nominations across the motion picture categories for the 55th NAACP Image Awards with three nominations. Domingo is nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Outstanding Actor in a Motion Picture for Rustin, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture for The Color Purple.

Films nominated for Outstanding Independent Motion Picture are Back on the Strip; Brother; Story Ave; Sweetwater; and The Angry Black Girl and Her Monster.

Nominated for Outstanding International Motion Picture are Anatomy of a Fall; Brother; Mami Wata; Rye Lane; and Society of the Snow.

The winners will be revealed during the two–hour LIVE TV special, airing Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 8:00 PM ET/ PT on BET and CBS.
