Sony Pictures released the trailer for the award winning film Yellow Rose which opens in theaters on October 9, 2020. Yellow Rose is the timely story of a Filipina teen from a small Texas town who fights to pursue her dreams as a country music performer while having to decide between staying with her family or leaving the only home she has known.

The film stars Grammy-winner and two-time Tony Award® nominee Eva Noblezada (Broadway’s Hadestown and Miss Saigon) in her feature film debut, award-winning country music artist Dale Watson, Princess Punzalan (Mula sa puso) and Tony Award-winner and Grammy-nominee Lea Salonga (Mulan, Aladdin).

Yellow Rose is the winner of thirteen film festival jury and audience awards including: Special Jury Award – Best Narrative Feature (Asian American International Film Festival); Grand Jury Prize – Best Narrative Feature and Best Breakout Performance for Eva Noblezada (Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival); Jury Award – Best Competition Narrative (Bentonville Film Festival), Jury Award – Best Narrative (Center for Asian American Media); Best Feature Film Award and Audience Choice Award (Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival); Audience Award – Best Narrative Feature (Hawaii International Film Festival); Festival Prize – Best Narrative Feature Film (Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival); Audience Award (San Diego Asian Film Festival); Grand Jury Prize – Best Narrative Feature and Audience Award – Best Film (Urbanworld Film Festival); and People’s Choice Award – Best Overall Feature (Vancouver Asian Film Festival).
