Take a look at the first look teaser trailer for the award-winning sci-fi/body horror short film Progeny, an Official Selection at 2020 Fantasia International Film Festival. The film is being presented with another sci-fi/body themed film FRIED BARRY.

Progeny is a suspenseful, science fiction thriller set in an alternate version of present-day rural America. The film seeks to explore the struggles of working-class Americans through an intriguing, entertaining sci-fi story.

The film directed by Justin Daering and produced by Gregory M. Schroeder, was made at the AFI Conservatory as the thesis project for graduation in 2019. The film has had success on the festival circuit, winning awards at several events such as Screamfest, FilmQuest, and San Jose International Short Film Festival. Also, Progeny is set to conclude its festival run this fall, with several upcoming events including Fantasia International Film Festival, Horrible Imaginings, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, and others.

Progeny will be available to watch on demand as part of this year’s virtual events at Fantasia International Film Festival from August 20 to September 2, and at Horrible Imaginings from September 1 to September 7.
