Ahead of the world premiere, here is the first look trailer for “The Death Tour”, the Slamdance Competition Documentary Feature Film that follows wrestling hopefuls across remote Indigenous communities in Canada’s far North on ‘the most grueling tour in indie wrestling’.

Featured in the film are wrestlers Sage “The Matriarch” Morin, Sean “Massive Damage” Dunster, Dez “The Eskimofo” Loreen, Sarah “The Scottish Warrior” McNicoll, and tour promotor Tony Condello.

“The Death Tour” is billed as a road trip movie like none other which takes viewers on an epic journey to a part of the world rarely captured on camera. Executive Produced by wrestling legend Chris Jericho, audiences experience these remote communities through the wrestler’s eyes as they drive through the frozen tundra, sleep on ring mats after shows, and face their inner demons. Some hope that surviving the Death Tour will propel them to wrestling superstardom while others, their bodies battered and scarred, head North for one last chance to hear the roar of an adoring crowd.

Directed by Stephan Peterson and Sonya Ballantyne, The Death Tour world premieres at Slamdance Film Festival on Friday, January 19th at 2pm and second screening on Monday, January 22nd at 12:45pm.
